Why does the solar floodlight come on without any movement around it?

You may need to adjust the ‘Sensitivity’ dial, which can be found under the solar floodlight’s PIR sensor. (See Instruction Manual for more information.) When ‘Sensitivity’ is dialed high, flood lights are known to activate from the slightest movement, including wind or rain. You may wish to conduct a “walking test” in the flood light’s detection zone to ensure ‘Sensitivity’ is not dialed too low.

Finally, ensure that the floodlight is not too close to tree foliage, which can also trip the motion sensor.
