Will this solar flood light work well during wintertime when the temperature runs down -13F and the sun is low in the sky?

Cold weather will affect the solar panel’s ability to collect sunlight. Additionally, the lack of direct sunlight and shorter daytime hours in winter will result in reduced effectiveness of the solar floodlight. It is not unusual to expect diminished light outputs and longer charge times in winter, especially in temperatures below 32°F.

To counter these wintertime issues, consider fully recharging the batteries. To do this, turn the unit “Off(O)” (via control switch underneath movable PIR sensor; see instruction manual for more details) for a period of 3-7 days. This will allow batteries to charge via solar power without discharging at night. Ensure that the solar panel is connected to the floodlight unit, and that the solar panel is positioned to collect as much sunlight as possible.
