Most likely the batteries in the unit are not reaching a sufficient charge level during the day, causing a diminished light output at night. Please follow these steps to accurately diagnose and correct the issue.
- Open the battery compartment and ensure batteries are present and in the correct polarity. Replace the battery housing and switch unit back to.
- Observe the sun’s position at peak sun hours (usually midday), and the gutter light is positioned to receive direct sunlight.
- Third (if issues persist), place the gutter light in direct sunlight for a period of 2-3 days, which will allow the battery to charge via solar power without discharging at night.
- If all the above fails, please initiate a return of the product. You may return the product directly to KODA or you can return the unit directly to the retailer (subject to retailer’s return policy).
